Know that when you paint Oak, you will see the open pores of the wood. This may not bug you unless you are an engineer or accountant! GE has a silver mirrored induction. If you do a lot of cooking and have multiple pans on high simultaneity, research the wattage or amperage draw for the cooktop. A less expensive model will share power between multiple burners, more expensive ones will supply full power to each pan.

If you are going with white appliances then color match your paint to the white. Make sure you do your research on painting oak cabinets - there are several threads on Houzz that really give great advice on that...

Just remember - if you are painting the cabinets yourself - it is not a one time thing - you will be repainting. So keep the formula!

Painting oak cabinets is rarely a good idea - just way too much grain. And white appliances? Well, they are stunning in that very contemporary kitchen (also VERY high end) pictured above, but if you presently have oak cabinets, I doubt if your kitchen will resemble this one in anyway.

If you must buy new appliances due to the existing ones not functioning, get stainless. Then, if you re-do your kitchen in the next few years, they will be fine to re-use and save you a ton of money.
