Where is the best place for electrical sockets on this wall?

Hi! This is the main wall in our guest/TV room and we are not sure about the exact layout of this side just yet. Where ideally should we put the wall sockets to complement the devices that go with the TV. There are two scenarios that we have thought of :-

floating wall shelves with all the dish TV and devices on it - in this case we leave the electrics where you can see it used to be.
we put a console below and put the sockets behind that.

I guess we are not sure what kind of seating - if at all - we are putting here.

Sorry if this is confusing but any insights would be appreciated.

PS: The TV marking is done in red as frames. Disregard the brown spots please.

I'd put a receptacle where the TV will hang and then one down low as well. I'd also run a piece of "smurf tube" or the like between the two locations (they also make more finished devices to do this) to run the video/audio cables between the possible console and the TV. My wife despises exposed wiring.

Run the cable/satellite cable to the location you MOST think will have the set-top box. If you change your mind it can always be relocated via the aforementioned smurf tube.

By the way, it looks like what you have is a code violation anyhow. Why are there not any existing receptacles on that wall?

What are you doing for sound? Sound bars? Surround speakers? There likely should be some provision for that. I'm not as familiar with DirectV units, but in the case of DishNetwork boxes, if you have a dumb set-top box (or Joey) you can just stick it behind the TV (mine just sit on the mount). A Hopper unit will take up a little more space.
