Looking for suggestions on deer resistant edibles you could plant in zone 7a.

For vegetables, I am interested in gourds (pumpkin, bitter) , red sorrel (sour/slightly bitter) , okra, onions. Fruits - apples, pear, apricot. Rosehips and any fragrant roses. I am just starting to plan my garden with edible landscaping - so please suggest any that may work.
