Something in the Fabaceae for starters. But we need more information as requested above. Where in Asia?

eta supplementary question. Are you certain the flowers belong to the tree and not to a vine plant climbing up the tree?

If it's a street tree - and all the more so if there are multiple examples on that same street or other streets in the vicinity - it may be something that is also present in a local display like an arboretum, botanic garden or nursery, where there may be labeling. Or an office where you can find out the name.

Thank you all. It's from Bangalore in India. Although its a tree on our street, it's not one which is commonly planted by the department. I haven't see any other in our area. I have asked someone locally who knows trees, but I haven't heard back. Will try and upload better images.

The flowers belong to the tree, for it has grown over our home and the flowers carpet the ground beneath. Thanks!

Full disclosure: I have a FB friend on a plant forum who is Indian and lives in India (I've never met her) and I suspected that she could nail it immediately, which she did. The Plant Idents Group on FB is fabulous.I have learned more ID from that that any other source since my college days (40+ years ago!)
