should I separate these?

I have a couple of lithops that I am wondering what to do with. One is almost done with splitting and the old leaves are about dried up, but it’s in a pot with one that is still in the process of splitting.

Should I separate these?

I know that watering while they’re splitting can kill them, but once the leaves have dried up on the other one it will need water!

I’m in a pickle! Help please.

Are they two heads on one plant or two separate plants?

If they are two plants, you can just water the right one just a tiny bit.

I’m new to lithops myself, but I use a dropper/pipette to try to concentrate the water to just one lithops. So far, so good.

You can get dispensing syringes free from drug stores usually - such as walmart for kids medicine. Just explain you do not want ones with sharps and they are for plants, haha.

Otherwise if you have time, graduated syringes with luer lock or push-on dispensing tips are quite cheap on ebay. Good for rooting plants, measuring liquid fertilizer, and measuring pesticides (make sure you label them properly so they don't get mixed up).
