Bathroom layout help!

Hi - we have a victorian home and would love to bring in some of those victorian design elements into our master bath remodel. We have a built in tiled corner jacuzzi bathtub surrounded by windows and are considering a claw foot stand alone. The current vanity is built in and on same wall as tub (we are replacing with standalone double vanity). The shower and tub are currently kitty corner (at diagonal ends)

The current bath layout is a 9.5' x 12'3'' rectangle. The wall sharing the vanity and tub is 12'3''. We are going to install a 72'' vanity and use a ~60'' clawfoot.

So questions I have:

1) Is it a design faux pas to arrange the vanity and a freestanding tub next to each other? The reason I ask is I don't see any pics of that arrangement online?

2) If we do arrange next to each other and put 3'' in between wall and vanity, that leaves 12'' of space between tub and vanity and vanity and tub. Is that enough?

3) I see a lot of pics of the tub sitting in a corner. If we decided to arrange at the corner, doesn't that create a huge loss of space? Maybe its not so bad because of rounded corners on tub?

Your thoughts are greatly appreciated!
