If you think it is ugly. It is not the style of house for you. Move on with your house search.

More windows would help a lot. Also landscaping. a $6k budget is low though. Having a different color trim could be nicer too.

Agree that more windows and landscaping it all it needs. That won't happen with 6k though, so if you're unwilling to spend more this isn't the house for you.

Look for another house I guess unless you can spend more than 6K. Too bad because if you could spend more you could end up with a really nice house.

Don’t pass up a house which is perfect inside.

Consider a metal trellis between the windows:

Cover the horizontal wall with cedar planks such as the fencing on the right in this photo.

I agree , the house is pretty cool. Create an entry courtyard with a little hardscape like a flagstone paver patio surrounded with lush landscaping and lighting . Your local nursery could easily plan and execute.

It is a GORGEOUS HOME. Likely not typical, but it is such a great backdrop for some creative landscaping. Love the mottled brick finish. Looks like the roof needs to be cleaned.

I agree it need some major landscaping and IMO no to the windows but could we see the back of the house and what is in the back for view. Usually when house have very little for windows in the front it is because all the view is in the back.I do not love the brick wall on the right what is that hiding.

Love the house, it's the landscaping that needs serious help. I'd hire a landscape architect to design a plan for you that will complement the style of this home and truly do it justice.

With a really good landscape design that included some ornamental trees this house would be a stand out. I can see a deep bright teal or blue on your front door. In my opinion, you don't need to do any changes to the windows.

Landscaping would definitely change it completely. (I like the exterior, but that's irrelevant.) Go to the local nursery and ask for 2 fast growing trees that stay about 20'x20'. Where I live (Boston suburbs) they'll deliver and plant trees for approximately the cost of the tree (so, double the sticker price = planted tree). I wouldn't pass on a house with an interior I loved and location I wanted, no matter what the exterior looked like - especially if there's zero landscaping. Its so easy to plant trees.

Oh, wow. I did a reverse image search and found the listing. I think it's fabulous! I do agree that a few pops of color on the front - above the door and where there is siding instead of brick would go a long way. When you have to redo the roof, I would also choose a darker color. The only thing that surprised me inside was the size of the master bath vanity which seemed small in relation to everything else if there is only one vanity in there.

I wanted to do some major changes with landscaping to my home. Mostly adding plant/trees/shrubbery/ planting beds. I found nursery who had a landscape architect on staff. If I purchased a certain dollar amount, I think about $600-700 (which was a good deal because everything was 60% off for end of season sale) They helped with plans drawn up for free, with quote on how much they would charge to do it. I picked out a bunch of stuff I liked to include in plans and architect added other suggestions too. Quote$14,000 BTW. I did purchase plants and used some/most of the suggestions but did it myself. I ended up with 7 shrubs and 3 ornamental trees and 2 "mini" trees. See if there is a landscape/nursery in your area.

I think the wall area would look nice with a bunch of ornamental grass planted in front of it.
