I think its best to stick with a neutral colour ,this way it would work with everything later , its easier and less expensive to paint a wall and get new bedding than install a new carpet , a light grey would work .

Lol another quick fresh up! Carpet is still in awesome condition but it’s beyond cleaning for my likings at this point. Such a shame I said to my husband there is absolutely no wear in the pile at all. Traffic marks are gets too much for my liking. This time I want a lower pile wool rug Just not sure about wall color. The pics are so off. Should I stay dark or go lighter. I love revere pewter almost all my room are now this shade ....very neutral

I tell you from experience :) we had a chocolate brown carpet I was very nice but everything showed on it , we also had a high pile carpet and foot steps flattened its pile ,so never again I like a flat carpet where nothing shows and stays flat when walking on it .

No definitely want to stay light with carpet. Guess maybe some suggestions brand color? Walls same both being changed wall are questionable with light or dark

I would look at the FRIEZE carpet line. The yarns are multi colored in many varieties and the carpet is soft and curly in some lines, perfect for a bedroom. With your dark walls, I would find one of the Frieze lines that has many colors in it, but lighter overall when you look across it. Focus on the colors you would like your linens to be perhaps as dominant in the speckles of the carpet, or just get something that would be called, like Beach Sand, or Sugar Cane or Porcelain Doll for instance. They would be really pretty. I know most carpet like this is found in the big box stores, if you want to see a large expanse or from any local carpet dealer for the wide variety that is available in many different shades, and likely yarn/carpet depth. I love the sculptured carpets, and especially in the living areas. They make the room appear more organized and neat. I love them in the bedroom, but the older we get, the more I like the softness of a frieze or pictures for sure, of that long long shag(the bed covers most of it LOL)? --BUT only minimal thickness of the carpet pad in any area. So, I try to find something that is soft, but using only minimal padding, just because the pad is a pain, if you have someone using wheels(like a walker or a wheelchair)for a multigenerational home, for instance, in a living area or hallway, or THEIR bedroom of course.......(And a long shag is not real helpful either, unless it is in the bedroom of someone who is more than mobile without equipment assets, this is true! But it does really make a nice cloud on a floor in a bedroom . :) )
