"The lights being different fixtures is fine. But you will need to fix the ceiling when these lights are removed if the new fixtures base will be smaller.

What’s the height and size of your entrance? I mean if it’s over 12ft tall definitely you can get a taller fixture. Two different shapes will be fine as long as you stay with the same finish. If the hallway and entrance is dark check your wattage and bulb count to make sure it will give you enough useful light.

Also I need to replace light in kitchen as well. Here’s a pic standing at door looking into kitchen. Can I use the same flush mount as the hallwa?? It comes in a bigger size. Or is that too matchy?

Is that light the only one you have in your kitchen? If so a two bulb boob light is not going to make the grade when you need to prep and clean up at night. Believe me using your outside light to wash dishes is not cool. .

there are also 3 pendant lights in there and a fan with a light but your right, I need a flush mount with 3 lights. Here’s my new plan. All the same brand so finishes would be the same.

Ok I only suggest, look at getting kitchen lights that have clear glass in them. That way more light radiates and bounces around.

Yes hallway lights can be same look. Are you sure you want dark metal? With 9’ ceiling you need 7’ from floor. That leaves 24”. So any fixture needs to be less than 24”. Be mindful of doors that open into space so the doors clear chandelier. What colors do you have in furniture?

Hi Flo! Here’s some more pics of the house. It’s a summer home by the beach. You helped me last year with my artwork in the kitchen :). I guess I was thinking dark metal because some of the other fixtures are dark already. Originally I was thinking of doing these in the hallway with the white wood but i Was told Edison bulbs were not the way to go....

Here’s pics of the downstairs although can’t find a pic of living room right now. Was thinking of keeping the fan in the kitchen because I’m trying to avoid painting the entire ceiling. Kitchen pendants I just replaced with new glass shades so those are staying as well.

Oh yes! Hi! The coral pictures look so great! I love that ceiling fixture and if you find you don’t like Edison bulbs you can change those out. I think you were on the right track with the combo of light wood and touches of dark metal. Unique look and beachy without looking too kitchy.
