I have no idea what you want from us don’t know how many of us have actually hit our floor with a hammer and as for the rest I don’t know why the bleach would not have just wiped off of the finish, I would not be leaving any of the items soaking on any floor.

Lots of people are interested in the durability of a floor. Accidents happen when you have guests, kids, pets or if you host an event. I'm not looking to be the floor police after this install. Vinyl and SPC are in the running as well, but I haven't found a color I like yet.

Very nice color choices! They all would be easy to pair furnishings with. I think super dark or super light are the limiting colors. To me yours are neutral. I did exactly what you did regarding tests!! i don’t want a broken heart when my expensive investment is ruined from not seeing how they would do under certain circumstances. I try to be so careful but I’ve had a few accidents and it held up well. I did grey oak engineered hardwood. Love it...my dog chases his ball all over the house and they still look great!! The trim wasn’t done here but this is the finished product

Find a smooth floor those marks across the grain resemble millmarks that we have sanded out for years.

Ditto on the above about the bleach. I clean houses and refuse to use it at all (even if the homeowner wants it) because it damages anything and everything so quickly. I don't want the liability.

I have a client who was on vacation when a glass shelf in their basement bar failed. Yep. it was bad. Liquor everywhere, including their wood floor. So - it's not always possible to clean up a spill right away.

Nice thorough testing. In my area, the boards' color and style are not popular, but they are used in very large traditional French-style mansions in nearby towns. I suggest you go look at some local model homes or open houses to see what is popular in your area. Or do some armchair shopping by looking at your local MLS. Since you like specifics, pick 50 nearby houses listed in the MLS and keep a tally of their floor styles (light, medium, dark; wood species). While you are at it, tally the wall colors, too. In my area, gray is trending out.

Did you ever install flooring by Floor & Decor? We are interested in similar. If you did install, how did it go? How’s color and quality? Any issues with the hardwood?

How well does it mop, vacuum, Swiffer or Roomba up? I'd imagine light wood wouldn't show dust/dirt as much, and would require mimum regular maintenance, which is what I'd be looking for.

We have the Montpillier Oak Distressed inI in our current home and love it! It is durable and cleans up well. We have had it 3 1/2 years and it still looks brand new. We are moving and looked to put this in our new home but to our dismay, they have changed the make up of this product from the layers to some compressed material. Does anyone have a review for this new product? It looks like particle board.
