Holly and robins

I have often read about the value of hollies because "birds love the berries", yet have just as frequently doubted it because I have seen berries lingering on the bushes until late spring. I wondered if my non-native Burford hollies were somehow unpalatable.

But today a flock of at least a dozen robins (migrating north?) just swarmed my bushes, kept going at them for about a half hour. Makes me feel much better about these attractive plants
