I planted a bare root dwarf contender peach last spring. It did well all summer, but we had an early, hard freeze before it was dormant, and it is numerous small splits on the small branches. The main trunk seems ok. It’s beginning to bud out now, and I’m wondering the best course of action. are these ok? Should I cut the branches and let it start over? Im in zone 5 Colorado.
