build the bar to face out the door not against the window. you might be able to re use the granite.

This space is between the kitchen and pantry. This would block the way to the pantry then

If you install lower cabinets, could you not use the granite as the countertop? What do you mean you're not sure what to do with window? Are you looking for a new window covering? That spot would be great for growing an indoor herb garden if you're into that sort of thing.

Maybe even glass faced doors to keep dust out? You can also get faux window frosting from Home Depot so that the windows don’t get smudged all of the time. I have some on one of my windows and it was very easy to put on

The kitchen is to the left and the pantry is to the right. The dimensions of this room is 6 by 5 feet with the granite being 6 by 2.5 ft.

I am very confused about the kind of window treatments that would go well with the bar setup of if I should just get it covered. The white transparent vinyl is a good idea too

How about using wooden blinds? I’m not pretty sure what kind of grain color cabinets you’re using? What’s in your kitchen?
