Get it cleaned up as best you can, then wipe down the shower walls and doors/glass daily after the last shower. You will find that the shower is so much easier to maintain with daily wiping down. I use a large micro fiber towel that is used in auto detailing. I hang it to dry and wash it every few weeks. Has worked for me for 5 years. I have porcelain tile though. I go through my shower about every 6 months and clean with a product, and I can not tell much of a difference. Some corners, and the glass sweeps, will need more attention than just biannually.

Yea, definitely do a quickie wipe-down after each shower, it helps immensely and takes all but a whopping 45-60 seconds. I just use the towel I dried myself off with, it still has enough absorbability to get the excess water off the shower walls/floor, and then toss it in the laundry basket.
