Since you have furniture in front of all your windows i would consider roman shades. I actually love the neutrality of the room. I would lower the pictures above the bed so that they only sit 4”-6” off headboard. Boost up your bedding. Do a full comforter duvet. Gold down a quilt. Add pillows and layers . You need more loft. Also the bedside table on the left needs to be lined up with the window more. But makes it look “off”. I can suggest colors all day long but what colors do you like? Do you like neutral but want to make it richer looking by placing a color on the wall? Are you thinking of just adding one color element mixed in? For instamce Here is a neutral color palet but it’s made rich by the use of textures metals and sheen.

Great beginning; just needs a few tweaks. The window next to the mirrored closet prevents the proper hanging of drapes, so I'd go with fabric inside mounted Roman shades. Yes, the art is too high above the bed and makes the piece over the one bedside chest redundant. Consider stacking the three pieces vertically at the bit of wall where you have your photo between the two doors. Start with the middle piece centered 5' above the floor and hang the other two just one hand's breadth above and below it. If you watch TV on the screen above the desk, your sofa is probably too far away from it.

Thank you all for your input. Very much appreciated. In regards to color, we were initially open for any color. I've considered a pop of pink for a pillow or two, as well as deep pink peonies to break up the monotony of greys. Since we bought the horse painting at a Bassett closing sale we've been locked into a narrow range of colors (grey, neutral, taupe, light blue). Not a huge fan of light blue and I'm not sure I'd want light blue all over the room. There is a shade of dark blue (royal blue?) in the horse painting as well as the geometric painting that I'm considering playing off of. I guess we're more into a neutral pallet but accented by darker, bold, colors, if that makes sense.

The easiest fix is changing out the bed and sofa pillows, and the sofa throw.

Also, is the layout functional for you? Do you sit on the sofa, watching tv, or use the desk? It’s a huge room. If you rarely use the sofa end, I’d rethink uses for the room. Which end has the closet? If it’s the sofa end, I’d divide the room and add a large dressing room. You could fit an island, chandelier, seating, and even keep the desk.

Adding a large dressing room is a great idea. The door next to sofa is a moderate sized walk in closet. Next to bed is a 6 ft closet with slider doors. As-is, the layout is very functional for us. It reminds us of the way large suites are laid out in nice hotels; usually in addition to the bed, you have a place to sit, and a place to write. The desk will serve as a writing desk and vanity, since we don't have a sitdown vanity in the bathroom. The sofa is used for afternoon naps, curling up to read a book, or enjoy a movie, so we get plenty of use from that. The other idea we wanted to do in place of the desk, is add a built in dresser from stretching from door to wall, (marble or wood top, white cabinet fronts). That would free up the need for the standalone chest and dresser. In place of dresser would be a vanity with wall mounted mirror, that could double as a writing desk, and in place of the chest of drawers would be a wall mounted full length mirror with an accent stool/pouf for sitting and getting dressed, so essentially it covers all our needs... dressing area, vanity, writing desk, and sofa stays in place.
