Thanks Connie! i really like the idea of a decorative mirror, it is on the way out. We have a wine fridge and area in the kitchen so undecided if I want to carry that over. I will have to look up painted tile, I have never seen that! This area doesn’t get used for anything so that might be a good idea.

Ooohhhh are those terracotta floors? What about a pretty framed mirror (always useful in an entry way), and (if you have natural light) some potted houseplants or potted flowers in whatever style pots reflect your taste. I feel like tile is a friendly surface for an indoor container garden.

If you dont want a mirror, you could do open shelving (like what you see in kitchens) and display books or decorative items.

terracotta pots would be great and would be a good look in your entry as an indoor garden. I would just polish the green tile and try using a good lemon oil polish on the wood to refresh it.

i would consider painting the cabinet, but I actually think the combination of green glazed tile and terra cotta tile is quite pretty. Just for what it’s worth!

Yeah I don’t. mind the teal so much... until we can do all of it I don’t plan to change much, I more just need ideas of how to decorate that won’t fight with the SW look but still be my style

Paint it the same color as the walls. Replace the missing drawer pulls. Add the decorative mirror. Although the tile could be painted, the type of paint that works well on tile is probably not good for pregnant women to use. So leave the tile as is.

If you want some decorative things on the counter, add some fresh flowers in a vase. Or a large colorful bowl- shop your cabinets to see what you have already.

I think if you paint the tile a more neutral color and paint the cabinet so it looks less worn, it will improve tremendously and update any decor you add. I'd paint the tile a creamy white and the cabinet a color that goes with your decor.

I might paint the bottom, but that depends on the rest of your house...

Just add a vignette and call it done for a while. It's might not be your taste, but it's really not bad at all and works well with the arch..
