Can you post a photo? The stark white probably does appear just that, "stark" against a mossy green, but with the other neutrals in your palette, a white in a slightly more greenish hue just may tie all those elements together. The range of whites is so daunting at times, you may have to try quite a few to get it right. Or.... depending on the thickness of your existing carpet, cover it with wood click flooring, FLOR tiles, or a large area rug that works with or downplays the mossy green existing carpet.
