You're ahead of me. I've only planted onions and not all of them yet! I have seed started indoors, but the garden isn't ready yet.

You're in Moore? I'm at Sooner and Indian Hills--Norman address, Moore schools. Actually our neighborhood is "No Man's Land" so we have a choice of Moore or Norman schools. I only see Moore school busses in our neighborhood though. My son is on a transfer to Westmoore. What else will you put in your garden this year? Where would you like to move? I saw an interesting thing on the news the other day about how tornados are happening more frequently in the southeast states now. Less often here. They gave some science-y reason for why it's shifted.

Hi Hazel...we are on the west side on main....I plan to put gr beans, roma tomatoes, cherry tomatoes and squash...nothing fancy...may try sweet potatoes in half cut buckets. Maybe a few peppers...we have no idea where we want to move yet....in with the kids at some point or off by our selves somewhere which is unlikely as we keep getting older....maybe one of the kids will take the leap and move somewhere cool...we have 7 so its possible!

Do y'all still have the place in Hawaii or is that phase of your lives over?

I hate this weather, I hate hibernating and I'm ready to get on with the garden but am having hard finding the time.

My garden has been shrinking for years as shade encroaches on it, and sometimes that frustrates me, and sometimes I'm relieved that I don't have as large of a garden as I once did. The front garden probably is half what it was, size-wise, at its peak. I just have to be okay with that and know it will shrink more as the shade from the forest continues to encroach more and more.

Right now, our son and his family are living with us for a few weeks while they paint their new (to them) old house, built in 1932, and full of charm. All that charm in the form of tons of fancy wood trim and woodwork goes make the painting take a ton of time. I love having them here, but it also completely distracts me from my usual gardening routine.

If the wind doesn't blow us all away today, I may get to spend time in the garden tomorrow. We'll see.

Hi Dawn...no, we don't have that house in Hawaii anymore...it was in a downward spiraling area, just overcome with drug users. Way worse than when we lived there. Seniors getting robbed, etc. Not at all Aloha...hard for some to understand that part of Hawaii, but its reality.

I am glad I got some things put in the garden the other day....tomorrow we remodel the bathroom...so that will keep me busy for a few days!

Still looking for the next place to land....need to do it pretty soon!
