Very nice! Would you mind sharing the paint color and the name of the backsplash?

You did a fantastic job selecting your materials. From the countertop to the wooden cabinetry and the flooring, (not sure if that was new) but, it all ties together really well. I think the addition of the stools was an excellent choice. A counter overhang above them would've been ideal but, they still create warmth and a conversation space to the kitchen, even if it's not used often as such; it's visually inviting, which I think is extremely important in a kitchen. I agree with the suggestion of adding hardware when your budget allows for it for practical reasons as well as ease of use and making the room look even classier. My only critique is the accessories. I would take down the items on display above the cabinets; this always crowds a space and draws your eye to the wrong area. I see what you were trying to do with the tray on the countertop but, I'd recommend using a matte color tray as opposed to the shiny mirror; it competes with the shiny granite and backsplash. Same with the decorative plates; use muted tones to contrast. I also would hang the clock on a different wall and at eye level. I hope this helps! It's a beautiful room and I'm sure you and your family will get a lot of enjoyment out of using it.

Thank you Heart Home Staging fir your input.. I am thinking if hardware on the cabinets.. Don't know what color and placement knobs or handles?? I though the tray may be to shiny, I do LOVE it though.. Maybe have to find another place for it...

    Love it!

You're welcome; my pleasure. The tray is a great piece, just not for that space. It could look great in a bathroom, depending on your decor. For hardware, I personally prefer handles placed horizontally but, it's a personal preference.

Hi Cheryl, Congrats on your kitchen remodel ! If you can easily open all your cabinet doors and drawers, then consider leaving them as is, no need to add any hardware. The current design, without any hardware, looks very simple and clean ! :)
I wouldn't add any hardware if you have push open doors. It's just another thing that can date a kitchen.

I think you have a beautiful high-end look kitchen and I'd keep the stools where they are and the shape they are also. It suits your purpose.

Cabinet hardware is needed to preserve the wood. The oil in our skin will leave a residue on the cabinets, damaging the finish over years to come. The stools look incorrect due to no overhang and may scratch the cabinets over time. I am a professional kitchen designer, you did a fabulous job!

Looks great. Where did you get the stools? Are they sturdy?

Your kitchen looks amazing! You could add some pendant lighting above your island to really get that wow factor:

The kitchen looks fabulous , you could add a raised bar at that side of the island, it appears you have enough space behind the stools. A pity no overhang was done, but I have seen some fabulous raised bars and it would increase the function of that area. Well done-enjoy your kitchen!
Yes I don't know why they had no overhang either... What is a raised bar, and can you do it after the counter top is there already?
    Love it. Great job.
Cheryl, if you type "raised bar kitchen island" it will talk about what they are and if you click on images you will see photos of them. There are many versions and ways that they can be done. Generally they are a small raised sections of counter that allow bar height stools to be pulled up to them. They are usually constructed from the same material as the island and have space under them. Pictures are worth a thousand words though. :)

Why on earth did you not leave any overhang on the counter. Would have been PERFECT.
It is beautiful..you must be pleased!!
We have the same warm tones, in cabinetry and counter top, picked out for our kitchen remodeling that is in the process. Nice to see something other than white cabinets!!! Haven't picked out flooring, and I really like your light colored floor, and that it isn't wood flooring, which I see in so many of the kitchens posted here.. Is it ceramic tiles or what? What brand is the flooring? I know you just love going into your gorgeous kitchen!
I'm sure you could get a job at any kitchen remodel place. Great job. Kitchens can go bad. But yours is perfect.

I love your kitchen too. Here is a quick link to show you what the raised bar tops could look like. http://www.houzz.com/add-a-raised-bar-top . Scroll through these photos. You would need to be sure it could be done with out damaging existing granite first of course.
