We've lived here just under 2 years, still haven't figured out how to make this entry more welcoming. The first door -closest to the front door- is the powder room, second is the coat closet. The baby gate needs to remain accessible/removable (for cleaning). Husband HATES "extra" furniture, but we really need a place for visitors to sit and take shoes off and also to store them. I've been looking for a nice storage bench but I would also like maybe a small console table. I am just unsure where to place those items... and what they might look like.
