My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

    This ceiling was finished with Venetian plaster. This is a limestone rich plaster that when burnished gives a bright shine. It looks great in person.

      I had a feeling that's what it was. Definitely a time consuming process left to the professionals to get it looking right! Looks fabulous!!!!

      It is a tricky finish that takes a lot of practice to get right. I think of this as a specialty trade handled by the pros.

      This is Venetian plaster. It is an Italian style of plaster finish on a wall or ceiling consisting of plaster mixed with marble dust, applied with a spatula or trowel in thin, multiple layers, which are then burnished to create a smooth surface with the illusion of depth and texture. It is luminescent in its depth.
