lawn weed ID needed

Hello! My yard is becoming an eyesore and I am ready to tackle it. I have large patches of the weed shown in the attached picture. It is brown now but greens during the summer. Is this Bermuda grass? Any suggestions on the best way to tackle it? I am located in Delaware. Thank you!

That is common bermuda. Hybrid bermuda is a much nicer plant and hardly resembles common. One way to tackle it is to give up. That would be the easiest and least frustrating. Another approach would be to RoundUp everything and plant hybrid bermuda like Tiff 419. Or you could try RoundUp everything and see if you can get more KBG or fescue going before the common bermuda comes back.

I think with the Earth warming we're going to see more bermuda in the north.
