I think it looks OK. But your room needs some pattern. Have you considered drapery panels? Do you have a dimmer on you pot lights? It seem bright.

Table is a misfit, frankly. Especially if you are going for rustic.

I agree that the table isn’t quite right; but, if it’s not something you plan to replace anytime soon and you are trying to create a Southwestern rustic look, how about adding in some of those elements? I’d also shift the pictures on the left wall so they’re closer together, and group the items on the sideboard; they’re too small for that space.
A table runner? Lamp for the sideboard?

I was not going for rustic - actually just hated to get rid of the two pieces I had . We thought the table would've been lighter . Yes I have a dimmer switch and mostly just use the hanging light . The buffet has to go in Front of the window due to the small size of the room unless I get a smaller buffet . The table is Stickley and I can get a matching buffet that is smaller . Thanks for the picture tips and the runner ideas - hadMR gotten there yet - just focusing on the furniture

If the room is as small as it appears, I do think it best to eliminate the 2 large southwestern pieces

    Just to be clear

You are not going for southwestern look?

You are willing to sell the 2 pieces and buy a smaller buffet?

Can we please see photos of the rest of the space? Thanks.

I think that the way you have it now--with the pine pieces on either end--they balance each other off. If you change the buffet to a dark color, the arrangement with look lopsided. Between the table and the floor it looks kind of dark. I think you need more textiles or a rug in the room with some intermediate colors in them to soften up the look. But the straight lines in the table legs go pretty well with the straight lines in the case goods. In my opinion but I like southwestern things.

Beautiful Stickley Table!! maybe try adding large bowl, vase, or display piece in the color of the buffet to the table. It will help to balance for now. Think there are too many small items on buffet Add a lamp to the buffet and something similar in color of the table, (even large candle sticks would work.. maybe move existing centre piece to buffet.

So sorry. Your photos did not post.

Although the buffet looks a little odd covering the lower part of those great windows, it's not horrible. I think the furniture pieces work well together. What I would change is all the small items on your walls and on the buffet. Go for one big print on the wall and maybe a big statement decorative bowl on the buffet. I think tidying up the visual clutter will pull your room together. Good luck!

You have 2 different/clashing styles in this room. Either remove the rustic pieces and replace with pieces that go with the style of the table and chairs (the chairs don't go with the rustic pieces either), or replace the table and chairs with rustic ones. Your choice.

Find a new home for the rustic pieces. They are too heavy to both be in that small space. Do you need a full buffet or would a narrow counsole table work, perhaps in gloss along a side wall? Drapery panels that open so they are outside the window frames would accent the beautiful large windows.

The room looks good. If you are up to a few tweeks, respond.

Nice work on hanging your art! It is better now. still think you require something large on the buffet. try a lamp and sculpture. :)

Room is much improved. Still look for something taller for table. thumbs up.

Thanks for the additional photos. For sure, I would move out the tall cabinet. It is very foreboding.

You can put it on sliders and move it out of the room temporarily. You will see how much more light and airy the room will feel.

What style are you going for? Can you please post an inspirational photo?

Now that we see it from more angles, I have to agree that the room looks too crowded, especially with the tall cabinet.

I am not a pro, but if you want to keep the rustic pieces, painting them a darker color (such as a deep forest green) might help tie the elements of the room together. Having the different styles in such contrasting wood tones is what looks wrong to me.

could buffet go across from the cabinet or is it too long for the wall. Looks like a lovely home. Eclectic rooms are so much more interesting than matchy matchy. please consider removing the basket from the top of the cabinet.
