As a decorator who posts solutions for other people, I find myself a little confused about what type chandelier or light fixture would work with a elegant beachy style. This is for a great room where the dining area is shared with seating area where we do most of our living.

I had to rethink the dining area and am looking for a rectangle table. I don't want a longer than 72" long table and am going to buy just four upholstered chairs in a cream linen with nickel Colored nail heads. My sofas in the same room also feature silver nail heads too. The metal I want to use has to be in the silver finish. I was thinking of using a lantern style chandelier, but not sure if it reads "beach". I am calling on other decorator's help in giving me suggestions on what lighting fixture would work. Originally I was looking at a drum shade style fixture as I've used that style in the home. I don't like skimpy small lights, so the width has to be substantial between 25"-30". There are high ceilings in the room. The walls are painted Wyeth blue, (BM). In the area of the dining space I bought 2large framed mirrors for the walls (about79"tall). The framing is a driftwood beachy wood, and the mirrors are beveled. I don't want too fancy, but I don't want a "heading to the beach" look either. I'm looking for some elegance. Any suggestion?
