SPC. More stable, doesn't have any wood in it so it will be more resistant to water. SPC doesn't dent like WPC, either.

Alexandra, have you had any problems with Republic Flooring SPC? Having problems trying to find any reviews.

We did WPC in the kitchen and SPC in the bathroom. I like the WPC better. Warmer and softer underfoot.

I love my SPC because it is more durable and I really liked the designs that were available. Very beautiful and a great natural design.

@Haute Shoppe Studio I'm looking at eternity floors also, what color did you use and from which collection?

Merino Oak. I love it. Looks real. I have it in the bathroom. Easy to clean and shows absolutely nothing.

@Haute Shoppe Studio I looked at the sample board of Merino Oak and it looked yellow to me. It reminded me of Provenza Sweet Talker. Does it have yellow undertone in your house?

Golden little gray brown tones. Looks beachy to me. It truly looks like the pics I posted. In darker rooms it definitely looks darker, but the only thing lighter I found was all one color and I wanted a little variation. The sweet talker was orangey red in my house. Like rattan color And darker. And when the sun hit Provenza it looked plastic to me. I brought several eternity samples home. No plastic look.

Jennifer P. The butterscotch of Eternity looks more like sweet talker. Depends on what your attracted to, your decor and lighting. Picking was torturous and took me 6 months I am super happy with the final results.

@Haute Shoppe Studio I know, it is tortuous! Im so glad to hear that you ended up happy with your decision. I saw the samples at Eternity but I didnt take them home because they said they didnt loan out samples. Im going to have to try to find some to take home to see what they look like in my house. Find someone who lets you take them home for sure! I would never buy from anyone who didn’t let me take samples home for several days. The colors look different in every lighting. When you narrow it down. I would also recommend buying a box and laying it out. I did that for two and sometimes looks very different than small samples. Best of luck!

I found these photos on Instagram of the merino oak. They look so different! I love it in the first photo because I’m looking for a floor that light. In the second photo it seems darker. Both photos probably have a filter and of course the rooms would have different lighting.

Folsom. The first pic you posted is not a good representation. I think the second one looks like it and the sample in your house. If you like it that light without much variation you should try calypso oak by coretec. Lots of people love it.

Thank you Haute Shoppe Studio. That’s helpful! I have a Calypso sample and you’re right that there’s little variation. It’s also feels very gold to me (tho in my picture that doesn’t show up as much as it does in my house.) I guess I’m looking for something lighter than Calypso.

Absolutely Still love it! No regrets. One year now. No problems. I see no prints, no dust, nothing. And when the sun shines on it you don’t get that plastic reflection. Hope that helps!

Haute shoppe Studio, is the Merino Oak an SPC? Do you remember what the mill layer is? I almost signed my contract for Republic SPC today in Countryside Eastern Cottonwood after having a sample of it in my home for a week. But I changed my mind today after seeing pics of it installed on Instagram. I dont like all the darker variations that almost look like stripes when it’s laid out. I also like the Coretec products but I dont know if they make an SPC.

There's another SPC core product you may like. Geowood by Cali using 1.2mm hardwood veneer instead of a repeating printed picture. Link

How is your WPC holding up with regard to scratch and dent? Do you have to be very carefull with it?

I selected a WPC ( Prime Waterproof flooring by Virginia Hardwood) product because the color works well in my space. But I realized that an SPC is more resistent to dent and scratch. I haven't been able to find a good match for it yet in SPC.
