Flooring Design Dilemma

Bona Traffic Satin vs. Matte

Hello, we installed 5 inch white oak hardwood floors and will be staining them bona natural. Im torn between traffic hd satin or matte finish. Is one better for kids and pets? My GC said he normally does satin but matte is good too. The more shine the more you see the dirt, which is making me consider matte.

My thought on seeing dirt is that I like to see things that let me know when they are dirty. Everything gets dirty I think nice to know before guests walk out with filthy socks.

The lighter the color the flatter the finish. And a duller finish will show less scratches and damages.
