Welcome to radiant glass top cooking. You are at the beginnings of continuing cleanup frustration that never ends. Not only do you have the worst responsiveness in heat control. You have the glass heated to 750* to transfer heat to your pans baking the surface with every use. This is the worst performing cooktop method I am aware of. Induction looks the same but is the opposite in responsiveness and ease of cleanup. A magnetic field causes the pan to heat up. Any clean up is with a sprits of cleaner and a paper towel. For your surface you can also use Bonami. If you are within the return period I would explore giving this stove back. Frigidaire or Bosch induction ranges are recommended.

I use Ceramabyte once a month, this stove now over 10 years old, smoothtop still looks brand new and I use top every single day to cook. I just careful not to have stuff spillover, and not slide any pots.

So it is possible to keep it clean. I will switch to induction in the future mainly because of better responsiveness.

Ditto what Kevinande said, only I use Weiman's (the lotion formula in the squeeze bottle, says Heavy Duty in small print on the front.)

One thing I've learned with mine is never cook on a dirty top, always begin clean. And, the outsides of the cookware must be as clean as the insides - no greasy film from a quick hand wash in the sink ;0)

I think my Jennair must be 12 years old from the approximate year this kitchen was said to have been updated. I've been using it for 5 yrs. It looks brand new, not a mark on it. White, not black.

I have the Miele induction range and use Miele's Ceramic & Stainless Hub cleaner. It works great on the glass top. Easy to use and shines the glass up very nicely. Might work for your cook top, too.
