Rhizo, how is your shoulder?

Just checking in to see how you are doing since your shoulder surgery a couple of weeks ago. Haven’t seen you posting much, and I know it is hard getting along with mostly one hand And going to PT.

DH is doing pretty well. Still sore from the incision and bored out of his gourd. Not used to not doing anything. He still has staples and limited to passive movements and no weight for a couple more weeks. Hates the restriction of the sling. I would too so I guess this is normal.

Sending get well quick wishes to you and hope all is well.

So good to hear you are doing so well. I don’t think what type of shoulder surgery you are having, it is rough, based on what I am hearing from others. And yes, to yoga and Pilates! I hope you get rid of the sling soon.

DH did have a standard replacement, all due to arthritis, no soft tissue damage or other tears. The incision is on the front of the shoulder, just below the deltoid. The surgeon has to cut through one of the rotator cuff tendons to get to the joint, which is why the restricted movement for a month. The hardest thing for him was shaving left-handed for the first time, but he has mastered that pretty well now. Still has a little problem with belts, getting them thru all the loops in back, so I have to help with that.

    Thanks for the updates.

Hope your DH is healing well and quickly outside. That is a major surgery! Also it's surprising what we can do with our other hand when it's indisposed. I had to write with my left hand for quite a while but I am ambi so it wasn't all that difficult for me .I can imagine for people strongly right-handed how difficult it is. my sister is strongly right-handed and I watched her struggle and had to help quite a bit when she broke her dominant hand.

Good luck getting your sling off Rhizo!

May you have continued good healing. And may your extra wiggling about while getting dressed count as extra calories burned. Hoping and praying for a good solid healthy recovery and quick too.
