How do you think I am doing so far? Any tips or suggestions are appreciated. As far as paint I'm thinking of just keeping it all white especially the trim? I thought it matched the sand/tan color? I have a collage of my wedding photos I am working on another wall (above a dresser), which is where the color combination comes from. Blues, white, tan is the color scheme. I like the black iron and would like to add more, my furniture is dark wood. My bedding has this bunched (I call it) detail I am slowly started to not think was a great idea? Could I add black iron scones on either side of the art? I'm thinking also black iron lamps and hopefully a tall plant in the corner behind the master bath door (dark blue planter?) and a dark blue accent chair on the other side of the bed? I appreciate your thoughts, thank you for your time.

Pretty space! I feel the art is too big for over the bed. I like the bedding and the rug. The curtains don't seem to go with the rug. Blinds or roman shades may look better there. Lamps for the night stands. Just my take as a non professional!

Thank you everybody for your responses! I was wanting to put some shades (tan)behind the curtains so that I could open them up and think that would be nice to get more sunlight in here because my lighting is so bad (white fan) I am trying to submit more pictures but I'm sorry so far it's just not happening for me my wedding was beach, so those cocolors go with the . Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

your wallpaper and headboard are very pretty. I would honestly think about removing the art above the headboard. do you have another place for it?

Seeing that angle, I would move the art to the gallery wall. Can you post all sides of the room. I'm sure more people will weigh in.

Is anyone against black iron lamps in here? I feel like my nightstands are going to be hard also because my husband requires his CPAP machine nightly for his medical condition and I need to keep the humidifier running nightly for my chronic dry eye/ what not.. Any tips for this sort of stuff?

I think that may be too much iron. Have you looked at the CPAP nightstands/storage? Might be worth a look.

Thank you!! kurln, that nightstand is great, right? I never knew about those but my goodness I like how it keeps it tucked away! I posted another angle of the room from a picture I had from the listing, the door is like a corner entry, it's still blank on the other walls. I wonder if I could put the art on another wall now and put some of my wedding photos from the collage here? The art piece is from our last home where I had done the "beach" theme in my livingroom and had more of my wedding photos displayed in there so now they are mostly in our room.

I could see a dresser with the art over it, and maybe a chair and little table. The grouping on the other wall looks pretty from what I can see, but maybe a bit high.

Can the bed go on the wall opposite the windows?

It can't go on that wall, there would be no room for nightstands and the door to fully open and then it creates a walk around to access the bathroom?

Anybody have any leads about art suggestions? I know this one is way too big, in here are vaulted ceilings and they come down on this end. Should I try some 8x10 photos of our wedding from the gallery wall? Would a single 11x14 portrait look Okay? Would a black and white photo look good? Any thoughts on two black iron sconces in the spot? Should I get a different comforter? Does anybody know how to remedy my sham covers from being floppy on the edges?? Thank you :)

What about the side wall..seems like a big room...I think it would look better placed on one the other big walls..

    Hi Julie!

You could consider curtains behind the bed. Your curtains need to be fuller anyhow. (ignore the mirror).

Some more inspiration. See how the windows have 2 panels? I like the 3 small frames above the bed, but not sure if you need much there. Let your bed frame be the focus.

I don’t mind a bed in front of windows if that is the only solution..have helped many work with that set up...but if a room has another solution and the windows can be open and not blocked it is preferred layout...this room looks large and the big windows are gorgeous and would be beautiful unblocked by the bed....ceiling to floor gorgeous drapes..artwork on the wall between the windows...it would look gorgeous..

No art above bed..it is all hung to high....I promise you....this room could use a better layout....we are here to help...art is the absolute last thing to work on...layout than large furniture pieces, lamps and new drapes...acessories are last...could your small wood trim all be painted white? Would really look much better.

I'm going to try my hand at the measurements drawing, I'm still playing with the above bed area today, the bedding in general, fighting with the lighting and wondering if I should just paint all the trim white and I might just try a room flip around, later this evening. Thank you for everything so far everyone!!

Kulrn...I have not gotten any notifications at all from your thread...Houzz has been a problem for awhile....at one point I had shut down and start over....things seem to be working much better...I will go to your thread and make a comment with hopes it starts up a notification to me....

You have your art hung too high. Get white blinds for under your curtains which should be lined.

Me ora...sounds good....flip the bed to the side wall...but would love a layout! Yes consider painting the trim...really would not be a big project but really worth the effort for your room!

Is blinds going to look better here or like some of those Roman shades? I have been looking at inspiration photos and I'm not sure if I'm suppose to do the blinds which go in the window spot or the Roman shades which get installed just below the curtain rod? I was thinking tan color ones would look best, or white?

for a more organic less formal style..woven shades in a light wood tone would be very nice....do you want a more casual cozy style? I think is would be a good choice with the black iron bed.

Love the blue and white.....I would remove the rug...not needed and really darkens the room....I would do white drapes with wood woven shades..it will give a casual beachy style...would you ever consider painting the black headboard? Or changing it out...is it new?

I was looking at these blinds and saw a picture of those roll shades in the color I was thinking and I was looking at art options and wonder if this prayer one would be nice above the bed or maybe just a sunset?

I was considering a dark wood headboard before to match the furniture?

I think a light wicker or rattan headboard would be beautiful.....you need to figure out the bed position..and again art is last....I think if you move the bed to the side wall..you could do art over each nightstand and than a large beach wall art or the prayer sand wall art..could go between the windows.......

Thank you, I'm planning on painting some this coming weekend and I know the sside wall to the right where we come in has a heater vent I can't block, I have yet to try it out but I know the wall across is equivalent to this wall minus one window size so I know I won't be able to open the door all the way, but I think the dress will look nice between the windows too. I am looking for some white curtains and the tan shade to see if I could work that out. I found some pictures I
