Burlap Burned My Table- Help!
Once upon a time, my lovely dark wood tobacco table was new and had a beautiful mirror glow. Then a home staging catastrophe hit... A burlap runner burned a waxy, non-removable imprint onto the surface. I've tried furniture polish/ cleaner and nothing has worked to alleviate it. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Now we know that we never should have used the runner. Burlap is treated with toxic chemicals and should never come into contact with good furniture or food. Aside from using a tablecloth to disguise this, can anyone suggest a method to undo the damage? (Image: Before the burlap mishap)

Patricia,. The table is discontinued. It was the rectangular dining table in the Paula Deen (dare to mention) collection. We purchased it long before her scandal- to be fair and end all judgmental accusations. There is another table in the same collection that claims to be cherry veneer AND hardwood. So, I'm not certain what the means constructively speaking., depth of veneer? There is zero apparent wood grain, just a dark glossy surface.
