I hear them too. Not the ones in our swamp yet, but a bit south of us. I let the cat out, and there they were.

Great news! The wood frogs should be quacking soon too. Nothing here yet but I haven't listened at the right place at the right time.

Oh, nice to hear, Linda. We aren’t even hearing wood frogs yet, and they tend to start as soon as the ice is just about gone, before the peepers.

This year the peepers on my property just north of Concord, NH started before the wood frogs by a few days, something that hasn’t happened before. I am putting it down to how much larger the wood frogs’ pond was this year compared to usual, so I think it took longer to thaw. The peepers started April 8 here and the wood frogs April 11.
