End panels are just that dummy doors something different.Where are asking about? A bit more info would be good.

My kitchen cabinets are custom and so the panels that show are all finished as part of the cabinet itself (no dummy doors).

For the basement, we are not going custom :). So they just offer the dummy door option.

So the question is whether to just go with the finished skin (or perhaps finished side, not sure) - or add the dummy door to the exposed sides of the uppers and peninsula (and frig panel).

I'm just now looking at pictures of a friend's and she did not go with the dummy doors. But another friend did (looking at his pictures now too :)).

End panels are to give you that finished wrap around look matching the face of the cabinet. Without them any exposed sides of the cabinet will have a finished side matching the stain or paint color of the cabinet face... Some manufacturers finish the sides right away, some will send a finish 1/4" skin to be installed on-site.

If its in the budget and you want to spend a little extra and add additional detail to your cabinetry order a few end panels.

IMO a dummy door works where it would seem possible a door could be there but other than taht an end panel that matches the cabinets is IMO the way to go.

I would go with the finished skin vs 'dummy door ends', which I think look stupid.
