This suggestion sounds as absurd as a high school graduate not trainable to do his own laundry or at a minimum take his own clothes upstairs himself!

I don't have a laundry room with a clothes folding station either. My clothes get hung up from the dryer on a hook and the other items are folded on my bed!

My apologies for being sarcastic but it just struck me odd that your "dilemma" is not a design dilemma. No photos, no real request for design help. You said your grandson doesn't help...can't help ya there!

My comment was in response to a contest to have a laundry room makeover. I was not seeking your approval or anyone else's. I was not asking for design help, merely to complete the entry form to enter the contest. I don't need any help raising my grandson and if I did, HOUZZ, nor you, would be where I would turn.

I was actually wondering if there was some sort of contest because lately there have been a lot of requests for help with a "backstory" and no real design dilemma question. I think Houzz should have a "contest" section to separate entries from people who are actually looking for "design dilemmas" instead of trying to win a makeover.

You asked how to keep the laundry room from looking like a closet. The answer is obvious.

But, now knowing your intent was to enter and win a contest makes sense.
