I have two ruggables. They are great for entrance ways in the wintery north when everyone brings in dirt and salt on their boots. They launder well in a large machine. So many colors/styles to choose from, I had a hard time picking my last one. There were about 8 I liked.

I have one. I haven't needed to wash it yet. It is very thin, even with the pad. The corners also curl up. I still like it, and done plan to change it out.

Is it ok w hardwood floors?

Have a runner in my front entry way. It sits on a hard wood floor and there are no issues. I do roll up the pad/carpet to broom (several times a week) and to mop once a week. I’ve washed it twice and it cleans beautifully.

I get ads for this all the time on my FB. I don't get it? I bought rugs at Costco and wash them when they need washing. Why are Ruggables unique? Pretty much any rug can be washed....

I did buy a runner. It is thinner than I expected, but I washed it yesterday and it looks like new. I put it on the deck to dry and I was able to put it back down in the kitchen after 30 minutes.

I do like that I can just replace the rug when I want a new look without having to replace the bottom.

The rug attaches to a pad - like Velcro. I placed a rug at entryway. I like it. It does make a funny sound when you walk on it so I don’t know if that lessens over time after walking on it more. Decided if wasn’t an issue for me since it’s just in my entry way.

I just got this one for entryway. Really elongates. As others have mentioned, has more of a “mat” feel but I like playing w textures so cool combo w my other shag rugs. Nice pops of color too.

Stir-fryi I would not dream of “washing” any of my Persian carpets in the washing machine and then tossing them in the dryer .... no just no!

These things do not hold up. We bought 3 of them and the edges are curling up now on all of them and they look terrible. My wife emailed their support and they didn't even respond. $400 down the drain.

Mine too. Someone recommended steaming the edges or with a wet towel and iron. I shall try that next.

I bought the Meridian Blue rug in 3x5 size. It fit my space as desired and went together as advertised. So far no issues with curling but I've not washed it yet, will do that this week for the first time. My problem is that the direction of the pattern on MY rug is opposite of the picture on their website. The longer I live with it the more I hate that it didn’t come the way I was expecting. I wrote to tell them what happened and the customer service response was “we appreciate your feedback”. That was it. No, ‘Let us correct our mistake’ or ‘please order another rug for your pad with our compliments”. This experience has really soured my opinion of this company. So if you’re planning on buying from this company be careful if your chosen design is directional in any way. - Otherwise, I like the rug so far

Is anyone else experiencing a lot of black rubber pellets or bits shedding from their ruggable pad? I’ve had our rugs about 4 months and have washed it 3-4 times. Recently I’m noticing a significant amount of black pellets whenever I separate the too from the pad. I also noticed the rug has shrunk and it’s no longer easy to place on the rug pad. Any thoughts appreciated.

We were just about to buy but glad I found this thread, will stay away.

I read somewhere else that edges curl up. That’s a deal breaker for me.

I just returned from visiting my brother and sister-in-law. Had a conversation about there Ruggables that are over a year old. I plan to buy some for my new home.

Brother and SIL have a long kitchen runner, and a few in other sizes. Love them all! I saw no wear or curling on edges (they even have a Robot vacuum that runs over them once a day.) For those of you that are seeing curling, are you using the pad with the rugs? The photos above look like they don't have a pad underneath. The pad holds the rugs to the floor.

Last night, my niece accidently dropped an egg on the kitchen Ruggable. Wiped it up with no problem. My sister-in-law says that she will wash the rug today. She has washed the rugs on various occasions. The kitchen rug had an entire bottle of red wine spilled on it. Came out in the wash.

We have some Kilim rugs, they’re thin, and the corners curl up sometimes. I put a chip clip on the corners when it starts to bother me, and leave it on overnight. Seems to work. Anything that is woven and thin could likely have this issue. I think y’all may be expecting too much based on the huge advantages that the Ruggables offer. We purchased a Star Wars ruggable, and my son likes it. Haven’t washed it yet. But I like that that is possible.

Which Costco rugs are washable? All of our rugs are either Kilim runners or huge wool rugs, like 10 x14. There is no washing machine that could hold them, but that would ruin them anyway. That poster above must be speaking of cotton throw rugs....

Our bottom pad is about two inches smaller than the top "rug" part all the way around. It is weirdly thin. Pattern not what I was hoping for from the pictures. My understanding is that the print is just stretched and distorted for different sizes, not redrawn/redesigned to be a good fit on different dimensions if that makes sense. I would not have purchased if I could have seen it in a store. I would be happy with it as an entry rug or a kitchen runner though. I think it curls as our foot traffic hits it here. Irritating, but no returns after it is laid down basically. I'll keep it until my kids out grow their messy stage.

That's really too bad. One of the specific questions that I asked my SIL was about tripping on the edges of the rug. She says (and I saw with my own eyes) that there have been no problems with the edging rolling, or fraying. The rug is now 2 years old. I wonder if the rugs makes a difference? I wish I had taken a photo. Hers is a really long oriental look that sits in front of the kitchen sink and spans to the other side of the dishwasher on one end and the pull out trash on the other.

BTW - She is getting ready to order one for the family room to replace a decorator choice rug that is fraying and rolling. It's not a Ruggable, but one of those thinner washed out Oriental type patterned rugs. The new Ruggable will have a thicker pad, which are offered.

Like Rhonda Hoffman, I have experienced a lot of little black pieces shedding from the pads on our rugs. I am concerned enough about them that I have decided to try another way of slip-proof the rugs. I am especially concerned that the kitties we have will get the black pieces on their paws and then, lick their paws and ingest the pieces. The pieces also come off on the backs of the rugs so that when I carry them to the washing machine, I leave a trail of these pieces.
