Modern kitchen - update. Help me choose!

Hi everyone, I always get excellent advice from this forum. I am changing the color scheme of our kitchen to blue and grey. I would like help with picking the right bar stools, and pendant lights. The fabric of our kitchen banquette is somewhat muted, so want to make sure the pendant lights work. Grateful for all inputs. Specifically, please pick one of 1 through 4 for the bar stools, AND 1 through 4 for the island lights.

Thank you!

I vote for the top blue glass one - I like how it works with the pattern shape in the banquette fabric.

ditto-the disc shaped piece. You could look for a neutral glass because the purple-ish blue isn't as warm as your teal theme. I prefer the blues/teals in your fabric....I'd go warmer or neutral w glass color. Have you thought about a beautiful frosted white....these bubbly blue and swirl blue are not classic looks. In my opinion I'd pare back what you are focusing on...but I like that disc shape. Good luck....the 3 sided seating area is terrific.

@herbflavor, what's an example of what you mean? Also, what do you 5think of the last navy blue island light?

@Restoration Decor and @herbflavor - I edited the post to add the bar stools (had trouble attaching pics the first time). Would you mind commenting please? Thank you so much - this is great advice.

I like the first and third better - The first is a great retro style and the other is classic modern. (those legs on #4 are too easy to trip over also)

Since you want a modern look and your fabric is great, I'd lean towards the metal barstools and lamps something like this that gives your place personality.

or even the complimentary color to blue

@Restoration Decor, you're awesome! Thank you. Between 1 and 3, what color do you think works better?

Did one of you stool pictures not come through?

Of the lighting, I like the first disc-shaped one.

I could also go grey since the fabric has grey. But do I need to match the bar stool to the pendant light above?

To answer your question (or not) - I think it would depend on the lights you choose - if the horizontally elongated lighter blue I'd go with the retro bar stool, but it isn't just color- shape also matters - do you want the overall look to be more modern or more retro? There isn't much color in the kitchen, so I'd stick with blue and not go to gray. The chairs do Not have to match the color of the light but the style should look right. Since your nook has the darker blue seats and the patterned fabric has the lighter blues, either chair would work regardless of fixture color.

The only stool that works re: colour is the first one. The others are too royal to go with the teal and too clear in tone to not make your walls and fabric look faded. Colour is an issue for all your light selections for the same reasons. Be careful with blue light in any case. It is not appealing, especially in a kitchen. Will the light have an accent/mood type function or will you need wattage for task lighting? If the latter, go with a whiter/lighter shade.

That was my first thought, at least with the way the colors show on my monitor.

Love the aqua stool, great chrome banding, design, coordintes with banquet, and it swivels! For the pendant, the first one. The color is good with your banquet and stool I like, and the shape of it mimics the back shape of the aqua stool.
