Thank you. Are they coming up from the soil? My husband read that putting some sort of straw under the berries and blooms might also help?

Slugs do not burrow into the soil, they nestle under leaves and in tight spots where it is damp and dark during the day. Putting straw or other material under the fruit could prevent rot but would not defeat slugs. Diatomaceous earth is an unpleasant surface for slugs to crawl on. The slugs, if any, probably originated from eggs laid in the pots when stored outside.

Slugs absolutely can burrow into soil and DE loses all effectiveness as a slug barrier when it gets wet.

Would re-potting them be an option??

Not really. Moths fly in, they're not in the soil. Slugs can climb and burrow so they can appear pretty much anywhere. Remove the dead leaves and debris from the surface of the soil, inspect the plants carefully, especially at night, and look under the pots. Slugs often hide under the pot or in the drain hole during the day.
