There was a thread about compost on the rose forum recently, in which the topic of rabbit poop came up. You might want to check it out: https://www.gardenweb.com/discussions/5655299/compost-to-reverse-climate-change#n=84

I use to use my daughter's bunnies poo.... I would separate it from the shavings. The shavings went in the compost bin and the poo went around the roses.... I would add it to one rose one day another rose another day so on and then start over. It never burned the roots.

I have a lot of bad rabbits living underneath my 2 garden sheds, they eat my roses and poop in my rose garden 24/7. There is no damage from the poop but the teeth.........

I'm seeing more and more rabbits lately around here but so far no damage. Or poop.
