The vanity pic is just to show what the existing vanity would look like with two mirrors and sconces- I did not intend for her to use this exact vanity in the bath. Repurposing what is there.

Kelly, those cabinets up top are used constantly. Their placement keeps all the daily hygiene items at our fingertips. I like your suggestions. One reason for the update is because our counter tops are lower than the new standard height. I thought I was submitting only for the contest and didn't realize i would be receiving helpful feedback. I forgot to comment on that gorgeous floor! many times we all look on this great site and go crazy... we need to work with what we actually have (unless you have won a major lottery).

I agree ! New mirror, lighting , faucets and hardware ! Will give a fresh air !
