Beautiful! The first thing to open in my garden is my yellow honeysuckle. I think it’s John Clayton but may be wrong .

It coincides with the return of the hummingbirds and makes me so happy!

TT, Lonicera sempervirens, a native honeysuckle, is unscented but blooms all summer and the hummingbirds love it. Japanese honeysuckle, which is highly invasive seeding into wild areas, is scented but not a plant I would ever add to a garden.

Other than some pansies I bought as plants, this is all that is blooming in my yard, though there may be blooms on my vernal witch hazel.

@Skip: I think I remember a picture from the same garden bed last Spring, but from a different angle. Phlox subulata is one of my favourite ground covers!

Thanks mazerolm, I did some dividing and trimming last year to get it closer to the pavers. They seem to respond well to that.

Somerset. The pictures were taken yesterday evening and the sun was rather into the camera. Hence a bit fuzzy. This is 7am this morning. Happy Easter!

My garden is tiny so lots of my greenery is 'borrowed' from next door neighbours. The narcissus is Pueblo, a very long lasting daffodil, new to me. All the other daffs finished long ago. Tulips are past their best too.

I think at the moment I’ve got scilla and maybe a very few puschinka in bloom, but elsewhere I’ve seen pussy willow, witch hazel , maples of course and some very early daffs. We had so much ice coverage this winter that snowdrops were blooming alongside crocus. My larch has just the faintest hint of green, and my lilacs are def. greening up. It’s easy to spot the weeds, they are the ones that already have full green rosettes lol.

E and TT, lovely flowers from both of you. Neither are plants I can grow, orchids because I kill houseplants, and tulips are eaten by voles unless protected by wire mesh enclosures, so I can enjoy both vicariously in your posts.
