Need shower control help!

Hi everyone - perplexed with the following. Our master bath will have a large walk in shower. Inside the shower, we will have two ceiling mounted rain showers and two hand wands. I want to be able to control the shower from both inside and outside the shower. I am not a fan of walking in and getting wet so I want to turn the shower on from the outside and adjust the temp inside as well as switch from the rain shower to the hand wand. My local bathroom supply store is claiming this is not possible. Here’s the floor plan- meeting with the plumber Monday but wanted to get some opinions from here so I knew what might be possible. Thank you!!!

Never heard of it being able to control the water flow from inside and outside the shower, but I'm sure if you have enough $$$$ they can find a way. Another way might be to have the right side of the shower controls - outside of the shower and the left side controls on the inside of the shower then you can jump around and get different shower options while in the shower.

When I was researching my bath I considered a digital valves that provide that ability. I believe Moen and Kohler both have one. It has an electronic control panel that sits outside the shower. If I remember right you can even have Alexa turn on the shower for you. It does require electrical as well as plumbing connections.

I have no idea if it’s possible without the digital valve.

Just looked at the Kohler and Moen digital options - thank you for the suggestion. Looks like both would work albeit a pretty penny.

My alternative thought is run one recessed rain shower that is centered in the shower and then keep the two wands. Then you could potentially walk in and turn on the rain shower without getting wet.

This was the initial inspiration picture but with full enclosed glass enclosure. No tub inside either.

It looks like you will have glass doors. It looks like the glass door next to the tub will open completely. You can keep the ceiling mounted rain shower heads centered and the hand held shower heads centered or even set off closer to the back shower wall. You can have the main control valves placed nearer to the glass doors so that you open the door/doors and reach inside and turn the shower on without getting wet. From you plan I'm not sure if the shower door next to the vanity will open completely?

I think we would have one functional door - still time to make changes as plumbing and electrical just getting underway

We have a shower with showerheads at both ends, similar to yours. The controls for both are in the middle of the long wall, so we can stand under the shower that isn't working, turn on the other one, and then step under it when it warms up.
