I'm on the other side of the fence, I hate that top primary bloom. It seems confused to me. However, I suspect each bloom will be a bit different :)

I think it's the white bars throughout the whole petal.

It has a pink fantasy.. if we add blue... it will be like what happens to a Christmas tree when the dog knocks it down... chasing the cat...

No, no, we need to color at least part of those complete white lines (yes, I'm anal compulsive about lines, maybe newly discovered by self).

You need strong lines, preferraby diagonal - and lots of contrast - to deliver enough drama in B/W. Otherwise - the colors are preferrable. This blossom had enough contrast to be interesting in B/W. While yes - in old books the pics where in B/W... and it was grey on grey.on a top of grey... Much more challenge for the photographer to make an AV pic yummy...

That's something else. Where did you get it?
