How about Teal Blue? Do a Google or Pinterest search and you'll have a wide array of lighter shades of blue. You'll certainly be able to see it through that glass door. Good luck!

I would paint the whole unit white.

I agree white would help pull it out of the shadows, but seeing more of the house would help.

I think the door is a beautiful color as is. Because it is recessed, your entry door is not really going to be highly visible from the street and not at all from the driveway, regardless of the color, but it's very obvious where the entry is. I'd rather have a color I love and make the entry porch attractive for when you actually arrive at the door, than to paint it some bland color hoping for it to be more visible from the street.

You can also paint the storm door to match.

I think leave the door alone -- the navy is fine. Get a large, eye-catching, wreath for your screen door. Also, a large doormat that goes the length of the door AND sidelights. I would keep all trim (sidelights and screen door trim) the same color as the garage door. The two large bushes in front of the window (closest to the door) I would get rid of and put something softer there -- like an ornamental grass. The security sign I would move to the right or left edge of the house (not in the entry, but more near the garage -- people still have to walk past it, but it doesn't take away from your entry).

I would try to de-emphasize the garage by painting IT similar to the house siding, remove the storm door which seems not to be too necessary given the protected area, and add lighting either above the door if that porch ceiling is high enough, or exterior sconces, or a flood light from the yard pointed at the door. Then you could paint the door/sidelights a color that may show up better. Good luck!

I agree with visually receding the garage with color; I would use the same one as the trim which looks to be a greige with some green undertones. Looks like your original door color was a darker shade of that color, and it looked great! Larger lanterns there and a hanging one in the entrance would help with the overall look. I'm not into boxy hedges that need haircuts all the time, so I advise new landscaping with a professional plan using local varieties that you can install over time. This spring will be a great time to get started on that. Keep the sizes of installations dwarf so they don't grow over your windows. An easy upgrade to the look would be to remove the inserts in the garage windows and just leave rectangular windows at the top. Consider removal of the aggregate porch/walk and the gravel "mulch." Replace with a meandering flagstone or slate walk.

I like the color of the door, but would paint the sidelights to match the door so it all becomes one unit and looks larger. Even better if you can paint the storm door to match.

Ornamental grass gets tall and will reach above the bottom of the windows, unless you're talking about mondo grass or something which is not tall enough. Grasses also have to be cut down to re-grow, so you lose the look at certain times of the year. Look for shrubs of varying colors/foliage that will remain below the windows for the front of the house when full grown. You can plant something taller on the far left end.
