Lovely, dcarch. We got 9 inches of snow yesterday/last night, and there is definitely no forsythia OR asparagus daring to poke their heads out. It looks like this here:

Another month, maybe, here in my zone 5, and I'll look for my asparagus. I do have one daffodil with a bud, and I repotted tomato plants today into bigger pots, so it's going to happen, eventually. In the meantime, enjoy your forsythia!

Late to this dcarch, but I second bragu... your food is deliciously annoying! I mean that in the nicest way possible (at 6 months of mostly fast food now due to no kitchen). I would embarrass myself devouring that plate of food!

The sear on your chops is amazing. Everything on your plate is utterly delicious looking... and once again, I've learned something new.. forsythia are edible?! Oh how I love the cheeriness of forsythias! Wish I could make room in our yard for one... I may just have to squeeze one in. My favorite spring shrub!

I may be going crazy, but your plate looks like a pond to me (I've been working on our small pond and it's up and running now, but mortaring rock in the heat, no thanks!). The asparagus on mash looks like water waves at the edge, the chops the deeper of the water. Those beans are the river rocks surrounding the pond, and of course the forsythia blossoms are water lilies : ) We see what we want to see! LOL!

Annie, I hope your snow has melted... I felt for you when I saw your photos! We had snow too... high in our mountains. But mostly more severe flooding here... the weather this year has been incredibly hard on so many.

Amazing photos, Annie! Still beautiful to me! Our last big snowfall was on Apr 5 and spring is just starting here. I was lucky enough to go to SC/GA for a few days last week and their azaleas were in full flower and just gorgeous!

You should try some. they are known as gourmet beans. Fun to eat too because they are so incredibly big.

They are not cheap., around $15 a lb. so I am growing them this year.

Dcarch, that sounds exactly like one of my reactions: "I'm going to have to grow some of those". (grin) Is that Corona a lima type bean, or maybe like white kidney beans?

2many, the snow melted within two days of falling. April snows never last long, just long enough to remind us not to get complacent!

PM, it is beautiful, far prettier than the gray/brown mud and brown vegetation that comprises April in Michigan. Now the willow tree is just getting leaves and that daffodil still hasn't had the nerve to open that bud, LOL. The cattle are standing by the barnyard fence every day now, hoping that this will be the day they go out onto pasture. Maybe this weekend...
