If it turns out to be 'Mary Washington' that you want, it is listed as available from Rose Petals Nursery, A Reverence for Roses Nursery, and from Angel Gardens, all in Florida.

They "are" called Martha Washington Rose which are Yellow with a light pink inside. they were popular 20-30 years ago and you could still find them 20 years ago because Painters killed mine and had to replace them. a friend has them in her yard- so I will take a photo. Recently I had to have foundatiin repaired and my Martha Washington Roses didnt survive and I cant replace them. i tried to do a starter off friends Rose but failed.

That looks very similar to 'Peace', so even if it's not the same rose, you might look at growing it instead, as it's easily available.

I wonder who gave it that name. As "User" suggests, the only rose ever registered under that name was the roxburghii hybrid.

@malcolm_manners Malcolm, I think "User" was Paul B. He has deleted his account, so all of his old posts just show up as "user". I don't remember this thread from the time it was originally posted, but I do recognize Paul's style, lol.

Fig, I noticed the same thing last month after Paul quit that all of his old posts are now under the name "User". Just an FYI for folks who read old posts :-D

All deleted posts are User and obviously they are not always Paul but if you know his style you will always know when it’s him 😄 I say this as a long time lurker who learned a lot from his posts and miss his contributions.
