I like the second from the left also. I don't know if it's the lighting or it's just the photo, but the white hexagon tile looks whiter than the vanity, making the vanity look off white.

I also like the taupe grout, especially since that color is also in your stone. It might look interesting to add in scattered patterns of black - also mirroring the effect the black has in the counter. Some larger black patterns interspersed with small black patterns. I like to have something to look at when sitting on the "throne." LOL!

I am not a fan, sorry. Laying the tile on the counter also gives you an idea of how you will see the grout lines. I know you are concerned about light and a dark floor, but will you be putting down any rugs?

I think you need a lighter taupe color for the grout than the one in the photo above here.

you don't need to match the grout to that countertop.

just use a medium gray and it will be perfect. what brand grout are you using?

if Custom, try Oyster Gray (has a bit more taupe to it) DeLorean Gray is cooler, almost lavender toned.

If Mapei, try Pewter, Gray or Silver

Laticrete, Natural Gray.
