Ha not sure. I'm not familiar with it- we do use ss and cast iron so I know that wouldn't be an issue. That all sounds amazing.. the price may scare me away. I'll go check a few out :)

What's with the cooktops having the textured surface? I've seen reviews that it makes them harder to clean. Looking at you, Bosch Induction

Cast iron works with induction and lots of ss does too. Check with a magnet.

I’ve never heard of a textured surface cooktop? The link you posted cited smooth cooktop in the specs? We purchased an induction range for our remodel. It blows the electric one we had previously out of the water. I can’t say enough wonderful things about induction.

I dont see what you mean about a texture.

Smooth (I think) means only that there are no knobs. A lot of cooktops that I have looked at have a printed surface that you can actually slightly feel. Trying to find the one that had the wavy printed service that was a dealbreaker for me.

I’m liking induction. Less burned fingers hopefully. The GE profile looks decent- I’ll check with our budget and hope there’s a good Memorial Day sale!

They look textured but feel smooth to the touch. I have never seen a textured cook top for electric or induction. We have the GE cafe but it’s a range. Good luck! You won’t be disappointed in induction over radiant electric!

Just like how you can feel the paint on the burner rings that’s what this is like.

With radiant you'll 'feel' the residue burned on with the 750* heat up.

If you didn't have the paint on there, how would you know where to place a pan?

Induction is awesome. I have both gas and induction. And I much prefer the responsiveness of induction, to say nothing of the no brainer cleanup. One squirt of whatever cleaner you use and the top is pristine. The biggest problem in choosing a paper towel that does not leave too much lint on the black surface!

Correct @weedmeister- the pan rings are important. It’s the rest of the cooktop between the burners being covered with it that is the issue.

I love my 36" Bosch induction cookt op

I have Bosch induction. There's a very slight texture on it between the hobs, but that doesn't impact cleaning. Maybe to keep the pans from moving off the hob too easily? I highly recommend induction and feel that your texture concern may end up a non-issue.

GE Monogram induction cooktop...amazing! It just took a little time to get used to compared to my previous smooth top electric range. There are no stainless steel strips or knobs. It cleans up with soap and water or a quick wipe with paper towel and multipurpose or window cleaner. Worth every penny.
