Start with making the floor FLAT. Your Pro will need to pour out SLC to get it that way.

Just make sure the floor itself is leveled and you are good to go. You do not need to elevate the cabinets to make them level with the lvt.

We recently finished our basement and had a kitchenette installed along with floating LVT. Our contractor leveled the floor similarly to what LWO suggested (I forget the name of the actual compound he used) and then installed the cabinets right on top of it. The area where the cabinets were installed was pretty level to begin with, fortunately, He shimmed them but did not build them up at all to match the LVT. The trim piece in the front of the cabinets covered any shims he used.

And please remember to use a barrier between the slab concrete and the floor AND the cabinets. Your General Contractor will know how to do this.
