I would buy the longer, wash first, then hang appropriately.

They look fine in your photo, but I can't zoom in. And at some point,if you have to zoom into something to see whether or not you like it, perhaps it's not very important!

I will note though, that if you want your curtains just a half-inch, or an inch longer, that an easy way to fudge it is to buy curtain rings and attach your curtains with hooks. You can hang them a bit longer that way. At least, it appears the curtain rod is through a rod rocket in the picture. Another benefit of rings is that the curtains will slide more easily along the pole.

Of course, you can consider letting out the hem as well.

I do have a personal preference (but this is not a rule!), and I prefer to hang curtain rods higher. I'd have probably aimed to hang yours about 6" higher, and purchased longer curtains. But yours look really nice as is.

Measure your hem. Do you have enough fabric there to make up the length lost to shrinkage? If you barely have enough, you can buy some muslin or white cotton, lower the hem to its fullest length, sew a 2-3” strip of the cotton to it, fold it up at your seam, and then hem it. The cotton will serve as your new hem. Just a suggestion!

I don't think I would like to hang them from rings not only because I am not partial to the look but I also do not like the "clanging" of the rings against the rod! I know, I know, picky but what can I say.

I did take a closer look at the hem but the way it's hemmed is beyond the scope of what I am capable of letting out and fixing. They are currently approximately 3 inches off of the floor. The curtains are 30% off right now online so I figured it would be a good time to buy so I just wanted to know what length would look best.

I really like those curtains...and yes I’d go longer. Would you mind sharing where you purchased these?
