Time for an update! Erin, welcome! You can bring whatever you like, I'm sure some will be interested in your seedlings. The swap tends to be informal. Some will arrange swaps here online, but most swap at the actual event. We swap, enjoy garden gab, tour Lisa's stunning gardens, and even have a little something to eat(potluck style).

I'll be bringing some hardy geraniums grown from seed(I'll list variety as soon as I find the seed packet, Salvia hians, and Campanula Pink Octopus divisions. More to be listed soon.

I think the the corydalis does best by seeding in. But you have get one to live to get started seeding. I'm happy to bring another hunk if you want to try again. It has seeded most successfully in cracks in walls and nooks and crannies.

I thought the columbine you gave me was salmon. It was beautiful and lasted through to the next spring but did not come back this year. The one I have now is about 3 feet high, white double and covered with more flowers and buds than I've ever seen on a columbine.

I think I have the hazel gallagher you gave me before. Does it have a delicate green eye?

I like it very much and it seems to be a tough little plant.

You can have the rosa glauca and JP fern.

I have plenty of jpfern to go around.

I have been working too much lately and haven't had time to post re the swap, but I also have tons of everything, so as Marie said, ask, and I may have something you want. In general, I have woodland and native plants, all sorts of perennials, grasses, etc.

I would like magenta geraniums. If you have more Rosa Glauca, Marie, I'd love one.

I saw a spectacular shrub called Lespedeza thunbergii 'Gibraltar' . Does anyone have one or know a local nursery that has one? I hear they grow from seed. Here's a pic. (It's the big purple one.)

I'm looking for hardy geraniums and if anyone has a hydrangea - any kind, I'll take it.

A few years back I received a dogwood seedling from someone. (who was it?) That seedling is now 5' tall. It has not flowered yet, I figure that will be next year, but it is very healthy!

I will be bringing ice tea and seltzer. Just a couple of plantlets : annual phlox 'popstar purple' and Agastache 'Arizona Sunset' They will both flower this year. Looking forward to some plant talk!

If the rain would stop I could go outside and make a list of what I've dug so far but it's been raining all day here.

I used the time today to go shopping for the items needed for the food table. I made chicken salad with cranberries, pasta salad and coleslaw. I also made the iced coffee so it's good and cold, I heard it's supposed to be warm Saturday. I'll have hot coffee, water and soda as well.

I think that's it for now. I haven't had lots of time in the garden due to working and the weather this spring.

I'm very disappointed to report I will not be there. I promised my daughter I'd watch the grandson while she works and I just don't have the heart to ask her to find a substitute.

He's in the ''stranger danger'' period and we never know if he'll scream at strangers or be unabashedly affectionate, so I dare not bring him.

I really really need to get rid of some plants. If anyone wants hydrangea "Nantucket Blues" or a gigantic "twist and shout" please come visit. You'd have to dig them out and I'm sure it would take two people to dig and lift twist n' 'Shout' . Plus I have other plants looking for good home.

I have a bunch of tomato seedlings, a kale seedling, two (usually indoors) coffee plants, some variegated soloman's seal at least some of which is for Lisa, a variegated lilac, a bunch of hardy geranium with pink flowers, and some oak-leafed hydrangea (it looks sad, but people have successfully grown my transplants in the past).

Lisa, I will dig up the Rosa - William Baffin for you tomorrow am before we leave for your place. The persicaria firetail is yours as well. Please save me your red astilbe and the white mealy cup sage seedlings. I find white shows up well in the garden from afar. Can never have enough white.
