Sorry. Wrong season for a photo. There is a dogwood that grows wild here in the woods of NE Iowa along the Mississippi River (Zone 4b-5a) that I had identified in the past but now forget. It is known as the only dogwood variety that grows above 15 feet high this far north, sometimes to 25 feet. It's bark is gray-brown with newer branches having bark that is brown to a tan with perhaps a hint of orange. Flowers are white. Leaves are typical of a dogwood. Anyone have an idea? Thanks.
